The Pokémon Company have announced that the latest series of Pokémon, known as Pokémon Horizons: The Series, will be available to stream on BBC iPlayer this December. A specific date has not been mentioned, but we suspect that a set number of episodes will be added to the platform with further episodes added at later intervals.
While BBC iPlayer (and the CBBC TV Channel) have been streaming and broadcasting Pokémon episodes (and movies) in the past, with Diamond & Pearl, Black & White and Diamond & Pearl available to stream in their entirety, it is the first time that BBC will have entirely new episodes. Previously POP!, which has reduced its TV service in the UK on Freeview, was the place to go to watch new episodes. The Episodes being on BBC iPlayer mean that fans can watch the episodes in High Definition (and whenever they want).
About: Meet Liko and Sprigatito, as well as Roy and Fuecoco from Pokémon Horizons: The Series as they uncover the mysteries of the Pokémon world!
We’ll try and let you know once episodes become available on BBC iPlayer, but in the meantime you can watch trailers for the new series below (as well as a preview of Episode 1) or alternatively view the entire range of Pokémon content on BBC iPlayer.
