KOEI GAME Europe have today announced that FAIRY TAIL 2, a sequel to the FAIRY TAIL game released in 2020, is in development and will be making its way to the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Windows PC (via Steam) during Winter 2024.
Developed by GUST, the studio behind the Atelier franchise, FAIRY TAIL 2 is a direct sequel to the previous game and recreate the events of the Alvarez Empire Arc in video game form. In addition the game will also feature Character Stories, which will allow players to discover new aspects of their favourite characters, and an original story, known as Key to Hidden Secrets, that will take place after the events of main story.
KOEI TECMO have also highlighted that this game will feature improved visuals and gameplay with more intense and spectacular battles, as such players can expect more powerful magic attacks (such as team attacks) and other strategic elements in order to take down enemies. It’s also been confirmed that FAIRY TAIL 2 will be playable in Japanese audio with English and French text.
FAIRY TAIL 2 is in development for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Windows PC (via Steam) and is expected to release during Winter 2024. Further details will be announced at a later date.
