Earlier in the month Anime Limited, otherwise known as All The Anime, revealed it’s UK release plans for the Naruto Blu-Ray Sets, with the release strategy being slightly different depending on whether you choose the Collector’s Edition or Standard Edition. Today, retail listings at Amazon UK, Anime-On-line, HMV and Zavvi have now revealed when the first two Collector’s Edition sets (and first four Standard Edition sets) will be released in the UK.
As a reminder Anime Limited’s release strategy for the Naruto TV series is that four Collector’s Edition sets, and eight Standard Edition sets, will be released. It’s important to note that a single Collector’s Edition set will hold the same content as two Standard Edition sets. In this case Collector’s Edition Set 1 will contain Standard Edition Set 1 and Set 2, while Collector’s Edition Set 2 will contain Standard Edition Set 3 and 4, and so forth.

Interestingly the Standard Edition sets are being staggered out on a monthly basis, which means that those who choose to purchase the Collector’s Edition sets will receive earlier access to those episodes. For instance Collector’s Edition Set 1 (Episodes 1 – 55) and Standard Edition Set 1 (Episodes 1 – 27) are released on the same day, but Standard Edition Set 2 (Episodes 28 – 55) isn’t released until a month later. The Collector’s Edition also comes with additional benefits such as a rigid art book and art book.
Regardless, we now have a better understanding of how the Naruto TV series will be released on Blu-Ray in the UK and it looks like they are aiming to be released a lot sooner than originally expected.
