With the characters revealed we can now explore two of the games key modes, namely Episode Battle and Custom Battle, both of which were shown in the latest showcase:
Episode Battle: This Mode will let you replay iconic fights from a single characters perspective, with Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, Gohan, Frieza, Future Trunks, Goku Black and Jiren all having their own stories to tell. These stories will be told from the perspective of the respective character, with key moments and fights inspired by encounters in the anime.
Custom Battle: This mode will allow players to create their own battle scenario and share them with others or challenge themselves to pre-made scenarios by the development team. Custom Battles including creating an intro and outro for each character appearing in the battle, with custom dialogue options (although these will not be voiced) as well as dictating how the battle will unfold.
Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero will launch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC on 11th October 2024. Those that purchase the Digital Ultimate Edition, of which includes the Season Pass and additional digital perks, will be able to play the game on 7th October 2024.
