The Oscar and Golden Globe winning animated film, The Boy and the Heron, is now available to stream on Netflix in the UK in both dubbed and subbed formats.
The Boy and Heron was originally released into UK cinemas last year, and was last month released onto HMV Exclusive 4K UHD Blu-Ray, 4K UHD Blu-Ray, Blu-Ray, and DVD in the UK with the Steelbook 4K UHD Blu-Ray also being made available today in the UK.
About: A young boy named Mahito yearning for his mother ventures into a world shared by the living and the dead. There, death comes to an end, and life finds a new beginning. A semi-autobiographical fantasy about life, death and creation, in tribute to friendship, from the mind of Hayao Miyazaki.
The addition of The Boy and the Heron to the Netflix streaming catalog further expands the list of Studio Ghibli films available on the service, as a large number of Studio Ghibli films (including our favourites Spirited Away, Kiki Delivery Service and My Neighbour Totoro) are already available. In the past week Netflix have also expanded its range of anime offerings with brand new TV series, including BLUE BOX, Ranma 1/2, ORB: On The Movments of Earth, and DAN DA DAN, with new episodes being streamed weekly. The Animated film Her Blue Sky is also expected to be added later this week.
In the meantime The Boy and the Heron is now available to stream on Netflix in the UK and is also available on 4K UHD Blu-Ray, Blu-Ray and DVD formats in the UK.
