Despite the UK not being listed in the original announcement of available countries, or the trailer on Crunchyroll’s YouTube Channel being accessible to UK viewers, the latest Dragon Ball anime series, known as Dragon Ball Daima, is now available to stream on Crunchyroll in the UK.
The first episode went live at 6pm on Crunchyroll for premium subcribers, which is the same time as everywhere else for Crunchyroll subscribers across the globe, with new episodes expected weekly at the same time. As a reminder Dragon Ball Daima features original work, story, and character design by Akira Toriyama, and sees Goku embark on a brand new adventure in the demon realm with Supreme Kai.
Synopsis: Goku and company were living peaceful lives when they suddenly turned small due to a conspiracy! When they discover that the reason for this may lie in a world known as the “Demon Realm”, a mysterious young Majin named Glorio appears before them.
Currently only the subtitled version of the series is available to stream and it’s not known when the English dub version will become available on Crunchyroll. In the United States the English Dub version of Dragon Ball Daima will premiere in cinemas, with the first three episodes linked together for a feature-length-presentation, but it’s not known when these will become available on the streaming service.
As it stands Dragon Ball Daima is currently available to stream in Japanese (with English subtitles) on Crunchyroll in the UK. The series will also become available to stream on Netflix in the UK on 18th October 2024, and is expected to be a week behind Crunchyroll’s episodes (just like with new episodes from ONE PIECE Egghead Arc).
