Dragon Ball DAIMA, the latest anime entry into the Dragon Ball franchise, only started broadcasting in Japan (and simulcast streaming worldwide) but that hasn’t stopped Bandai Namco Entertainment from teasing it’s inclusion in three currently available Dragon Ball games. That’s right, characters from Dragon Ball DAIMA will be coming to Dragon Ball Z Kakarot, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 and DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO in the near future.
Specific details for these upcoming downloadable content have not yet been revealed, but each have received a teaser trailer that gives us a glimpse at what we can possible expect from the game.
Dragon Ball Z Kakarot:
Available for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S & Windows PC
The DLC is called Adventure Through The Demon Realm and based on the teaser trailer it looks like this DLC will see players in control of Goku (Mini) as he explores the demon realm with new characters from the anime series. Additionally this DLC looks like it will be released in two parts, with the first part covering the early adventures within the demon realm.
Dragon Ball Z Xenoverse 2:
Available for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S & Windows PC
The Future Saga Part 2 DLC within Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will see Goku (Mini) from Dragon Ball DAIMA added as a playable character. A free trial campaign, in which players will be able to use the character for a limited time without purchasing the content, will also be offered with further details to be announced at a later date.
DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO:
Available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S & Windows PC
The latest entry into the Dragon Ball franchise, which has already surpassed 3 million sales, already has Goku (Mini) from Dragon Ball DAIMA as a playable character (if pre-ordered) but additional characters from the new anime series are coming. As part of the second DLC pack players will receive Vegeta (Mini) and Glorio, both of which make their debut in Dragon Ball DAIMA. The second DLC pack is also available as part of a season pass which includes Gamma 1 & 2 from Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero and another to be confirmed pack.
Further details relating to each of these DLC packs will be revealed in the near future, but it is interesting to see that Bandai Namco Entertainment are continuing support older titles (even if re-released onto current-gen platforms) with new content.
