The schedule on the MCM Comic Con website has revealed that Digimon Adventure 02: The Beginning, the latest feature-length-film in the Digimon Adventure franchise, and ONE PIECE FAN LETTER, which is an adaptation of the Straw Hat novel stories, will be screened at MCM x EGX this weekend.
Both features will be shown on centre stage, with Digimon Adventure 02: The Beginning being shown on Saturday 26th October 2024 at 9:30am while ONE PIECE FAN LETTER will be shown on Sunday 27th October 2024 at 10:55am. The screening of ONE PIECE FAN LETTER is also expected to be accompanied by ONE PIECE Episode 1015: Straw Hat Luffy! The Man Who Will Become the King of the Pirates! due to Megumi Ishitani and Keisuke Mori being involved with ONE PIECE FAN LETTER.
Digimon Adventure 02: The Beginning:

Synopsis: It’s 2012, and ten years have passed since the adventure in the Digital World. Daisuke Motomiya is now twenty, and he and the rest of the DigiDestined seem to be changing bit by bit in terms of appearance and lifestyle. Then one day, a giant Digitama suddenly appears in the sky over Tokyo Tower. Daisuke and the others encounter a mysterious young man named Lui Ohwada, who informs them that he’s the first ever DigiDestined in the world…
ONE PIECE FAN LETTER:

Synopsis: The “ONE PIECE FAN LETTER”, a production commemorating the 25th anniversary of the anime ONE PIECE which is based on “ONE PIECE Novel Straw Hat Stories” by Tomohito Ohsaki, for which the script has been written by Momoka Toyoda, and the director and character design/animation director were Megumi Ishitani and Keisuke Mori.
It’s not known which audio (or subtitle) format will be used, but we suspect that Japanese (with English subtitles) will be used for both (although an English dub for Digimon Adventure 02: The Beginning is available). ONE PIECE FAN LETTER is available to stream on Crunchyroll, but this will be the first time that Digimon Adventure 02: The Beginning is available to watch in the UK.
MCM x EGX takes place this weekend, between 25th October 2024 and 27th October 2024, at the ExCeL Centre in London. Weekend and Saturday tickets are sold out, but further details and availability can be found on the official website.
