I hate this season.
Impressions:
Yeah, yeah. I’m alive, but I attempted to watch both this from yesterday and the Talky Boy thing, and… man. I’ve got to figure out something else to do with this season as I’m not really sure I have it in me to continue on with anything but the two Thursday shows, and even they’re causing me exasperation. I don’t know that either of the two new characters of this episode brought anything new. A slightly differently designed mascot toy and another motherly yandere. We had those already, but now with two extra character designs and voice actors?
The comedy here is continuing to just not be funny, and there’s so much setup for things that are one off gags, which aren’t even funny? Going through the entire stock footage transformation sequence and then doing… nothing at all with it whatsoever. She turns giant and then immediately pops. Why not stomp around like a ‘cute’ Godzilla or something for at least a little bit? Or actually act as a grey goo scenario, absorbing all the other dolls rather than just being one line sort of saying that you kind of did that, but not actually?
