KOEI TECMO have today confirmed that digital pre-orders for FAIRY TAIL 2, which is a direct sequel to the FAIRY TAIL game released in 2020, are now available on PlayStation Store, Nintendo eShop and Steam with the game scheduled to release on 13th December 2024. To celebrate, KOEI TECMO have released the games opening animation as well as provided new information about the games original story.
Firstly the newly released FAIRY TAIL 2 opening animation introduces players to members of the FAIRY TAIL guild as they battle Emperor Spriggan Zeref, his team of elites, the Spriggan 12, and the Black Dragon Acnologia, while paying homage to famous scenes featured in the original anime and manga series.
Secondly, the games original story, entitled ‘Key to the Unknown”, will become accessible once all twelve chapters of the main story have been completed. This new story will allow players to access new areas and experience heartwarming and comical scenes that will span four additional chapters. As part of this adventure players will take on various quests such as finding a hidden gem in a restaurant located in a forest somewhere in the west, determining the midsummer champion at “Akane Beach” in the south, and encountering a variety of unexpected characters. Additionally, a photo mode has been added that allows players to capture these memories forever.
Digital Pre-Orders:
FAIRY TAIL 2 is available to pre-order digitally on Nintendo eShop, PlayStation Store and Steam. Those who purchase the game before 6th January 2025 will also receive a bonus costume.
A Digital Deluxe Edition will also be available from Digital Storefronts, which will contain the base and additional costumes based on the Atelier Ryza franchise for select FAIRY TAIL characters, and items for use within the game.
A Season Pass for FAIRY TAIL 2 will also become available at launch (or can be purchased as a bundle with the game) and contains a bonus scenario, an arena where they can re-challenge bosses, more playable characters, alternative costumes for Erza and Wendy, and much more.
Physical Pre-Orders:
FAIRY TAIL 2 is available to pre-order physically from various retailers across Europe for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
As a reminder pre-orders for the Limited Edition version of the game are available through the official KOEI TECMO Store, with two different editions being offered.
