In a rather surprising, but interesting, move Nintendo have today released Nintendo Music on to iOS & Android compatible devices for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers. This new application allows Nintendo Switch Online (and Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack) subscribers to listen to wide range of music from a range of Nintendo games.
Nintendo Music will allow users to stream, or download and play songs offline, from a range of Nintendo titles, including Super Mario Bros. (NES), The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64) and Super Mario Odyssey (NSW). That’s not all, as selected songs can be extended to 15, 30 or 60 minutes for continuous playback.
By using your Nintendo Switch Online profile the Nintendo Music application can also filter soundtracks based on games played, or you can view all soundtracks available (with more expected to be added over time). Additionally users can listen to playlists based on characters, themes or Nintendo specified playlists, but also users can create their own playlists so that they can enjoy their favorite music within a few taps.
The Nintendo Music application is available as a free download on iOS App Store (for iOS) and Google Play Store (for Android), but a valid Nintendo Switch Online subscription and Nintendo Account is required in order to use the application. If you’ve got a Nintendo Switch Online subscription, then it’s worth checking out as you’ll easily find songs you can enjoy on the service. Further details about Nintendo Music can also be found on the official Nintendo website.
