Spike Chunsoft have recently announced that the latest entry in the Shiren the Wanderer franchise, known as Shiren the Wanderer: The Mystery Dungeon of Serpentcoil Island, will be making its way to Steam (for Windows PC) this Winter.
Currently scheduled for a Winter release Shiren the Wanderer: The Mystery Dungeon of Serpentcoil Island will put players in control of Shiren, the heroic wanderer who seeks adventure, in a 3D styled turn-based RPG adventure with procedurally generated maps, enemies and loot. As part of this gameplay experience Shiren will start at level one when he enters a dungeon and will grow within it, with all items lost if he collapses during exploration within the dungeon. The game was previously released onto the Nintendo Switch worldwide and has seen post-launch updates and DLC made available.

After receiving a vision of a mysterious girl held captive by a terrible monster, Shiren and Koppa make their way to Serpentcoil Island—a distant isle rumored to be the lost stronghold of treasure-hoarding pirates.
To brave the many dangers that await them, Shiren and Koppa must traverse complex dungeons filled with hostile monsters, hidden traps, and useful items. All the gear and experience Shiren accumulates will be lost if he collapses during exploration, so beware of rushing in unprepared! The forthcoming release for Nintendo Switch marks the series’ latest mainline entry to come to the West since Shiren the Wanderer: The Tower of Fortune and the Dice of Fate was released on PlayStation®Vita in 2016 and then on Nintendo Switch in 2020. While preserving the traditional gameplay, this installment introduces new elements and 3D graphics to create a fresh and exciting adventure.
Shiren the Wanderer: The Mystery Dungeon of Serpentcoil Island is planned to release this Winter onto Steam (for Windows PC) and can be wishlisted on steam. DLC will also be available in the form of the official soundtrack and Island Plus content.
