We’re back to having fun brutalizing our friends.
I remember enjoying the first season quite a bit. I sadly can’t say I felt the same this time. I suspect this may be more about me than it is about the show. My enthusiasm for these kinds of action shows has definitely petered out, and it was low to begin with.
That said, I did quite enjoy the large role played by the best girl, Pitahui (sp?).
Storytelling – C – Pretty sparse and focused on the fighting.
Voice – C – I’ll be honestly, as the world’s #2 Sword Art Online fan I forgot in our podcast how this was even related to the original until Marina kindly reminded me about Shion’s giant butt.
Characters – C – Pitahui is good. But there is like zero character development this whole season.
Attention Grab – D – I just couldn’t focus this time.
Production – C – It’s fine.
