Those epilepsy warnings are there for a reason.
Impressions:
If it takes a super genius detective to say “Hey, maybe we should look into that video that caused the incident and see if it happens again,” it’s actually a mystery in any way, shape, or form. They understand that not everybody has epileptic reactions to the same things, right? Oh, this is a special specific kind of epileptic reaction to a specific kind of thing that even fewer being react to. Okay, fine. But it’s not any kind of deduction and is the most blindingly obvious first assumption that I’m pretty sure literally everybody would have made.
And this was the entire goddamned episode. You cannot make a character look like a genius by having everybody else be an incurious blithering dotard immediately insisting that it’s inexplicable. This was something that Apothecary Diaries struggled with as well, and having the ‘brilliant’ detective work just being “let’s see if we can replicate what happened” and are immediately able to successfully do so is not detective work in any way, shape, or form. So much for Wednesdays this season.
