Impressions:
The maid girl episode, though didn’t really involve her except to dump out that she’s a poor kid in a single parent family. And the guest of the week is a single mother of a poor family. …And that’s kind of it. She accidentally got tangled up with scammers, and then for no particular reason, decided to leap between buildings and fell to her death. Not even sure what the plan was here even if she had made the jump to another balcony with the police watching them do it while simultaneously kicking down the door. Gonna Spiderman your way across the rooftops until you lose them?
It’s especially kind of weird because Ruri’s single parent was her father, who didn’t get to appear or have any focus at all, even in her own flashbacks. Just got him looking sadly at her in one scene. Shouldn’t he have been the one we were drawing the parallels to? Nothing about how he cooked rice or took care of her. Just on how her mother abandoned her and ran off with some other guy. Then it tosses in at the end that the dead lady’s ex-husband is actually a great guy who’ll take good care of her, so the kid’ll be fine. A lot of wires are getting crossed in ways that tend to lead to electrical fires.
