Updated retail listings at Anime-on-Line and HMV have revealed that the UK Blu-Ray and DVD release of Detective Conan: The Million-Dollar Pentagram is now scheduled to be released on 21st April 2025.
The film had previously been listed with a 17th February 2025 release date, but the updated listings now show 21st April 2025 as the release date. Trinity CineAsia, a distributor that specializes in bringing Chinese and Asian films to the UK market, is the distributor for Detective Conan: The Million-Dollar Pentagram and they gave the film a cinematic release across the UK last year.
Synopsis: Shinichi Kudo was a brilliant high school detective until one day he was turned into a child by the mysterious Black Organization. Taking on a new identity as Conan Edogawa to protect those close to him, Conan now pursues the Black Organization in hopes of finding the cure to bring him back to his teenage self.
When a calling card belonging to the legendary Kid the Phantom Thief is found in a warehouse belonging to an illustrious family in Hokkaido, Conan’s interest is piqued: why has a great thief well-known for his pursuit of precious gems set his eyes on swords dating back to the great Edo period? Meanwhile, the discovery of a body with a cross slashed across its chest leads to the “Merchant of Death”, an arms dealer who has his eyes set on an even greater treasure. With Conan and his fellow detective Heiji Hattori both hot on his trail, the exciting battle for treasure begins!
We’ve yet to see an official announcement from Trinity CineAsia, but all of the retail listings currently list the same release information. In terms of product details all we know is that the film will be presented in Japanese (with English subtitles) and be available on Region B Blu-Ray and Region 2 DVD. It’s not yet known what the box art will look like, or whether any bonus materials will be included on the disc.
As it stands Detective Conan: The Million-Dollar Pentagram is currently listed for a 21st April 2025 release on Blu-Ray and DVD in the UK, with the film also available to pre-order at online retailers such as Amazon UK, HMV, Rarewaves and Zavvi.
