Tales of Seikyu, a Yoaki farming adventure game that is scheduled for early access release later this year, has today received a playable demo as part of the Steam Next Fest event. This demo, which will only be available until 3rd March 2025, not only gives a sample of the full experience, but will also give them an exclusive armor to use in the full game once released.
The newly released demo will allow players to experience 3 in-game days, in which they can choose to take part in a variety of different activities. For instance you could take a tour of the town, shapeshift into your first Yokai form, meet the island’s residents and love interests, complete the game’s opening quests, check out your brand-new farmhouse, and get to grips with farming, fishing, crafting, and decorating. Of course, progression made in this demo will grant you access to the Serpent Rattan Armour, a bonus in-game armour set that celebrates the Year of the Snake, and that can be carried over to the Early Access version of Tales of Seikyu.
As a reminder Tales of Seikyu will see players whisked away to the magical land of Seikyu, a haven for legendary creatures from the world of yokai, whereby they will be able to build their dream farm and restore a countryside inn to its former glory. As part of the experience players can obtain ability-enhancing masks to transform into mythical creatures to aid in your exploration of Seikyu as well as forge connections with various characters within the land of Seikyu. With these being a farming game players will naturally be able to expand their ranch, cultivate crops, craft unique recipes, renovate old buildings, and decorate rooms to create a cozy pastoral setting or a luxurious monster inn.
Tales of Seikyu is currently available to wishlist on Steam, and is planned for an early access release on Steam in 2025. The Steam Next Fest Demo is expected to be available until 3rd March 2025.
