Aquarion MOE #08 — Trash Time

Another exciting episode.

Impressions:

All right. Like Ubel Blatt, I know it’s late, both in the season, and long past where I should have, but I’m pretty sure I’m throwing in the towel here. Like Momentary Lily, it was another 20 minutes of pure filler, but without any better episodes prior, nor the promise of any to come. The dude is openly evil, has a magic egg that he likes to wave around, and there’s a whole cult just hanging around. The most anybody can do is… go hang out on the beach and watch people pick up trash while ruminating about it like cattle. And have flashbacks to the godawful CGI-world, where they too are helpless to do anything but watch as nonsense happens.

I’ll glance at the next episode, but it would have to be balls to the wall from go to get another post. It’s the cliffhanger here that engenders both those things. Both because it hints that things could finally be happening and is the first time a character has attempted to do anything since the pink one decided to start stabbing and screw the consequences by flying into the monster portal, but also because the baddies finished their grand plan of… dropping some pillars? And I legitimately have no idea why anybody should know or care. Okay, they have a triangle now. So what? You’ve got maybe 2-3 minutes next week to make me care about either of these things, and what I fully expect is just another flashback into CGI-land.
