Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles 2 to launch August 2025 on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Xbox and Windows PC

SEGA, in partnership with Aniplex and developer CyberConnect2, have recently announced that Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba The Hinokami Chronicles, which is a sequel to the 2021 3D Arena Brawler, will launch on 5th August 2025 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Windows PC.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles 2, which is Developed by CyberConnect2 (known for the Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm franchise) and published by SEGA, is a 3D arena brawler that will continue the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba storyline from where the first game left off. In this case players will be able to experience the iconic moments from the Entertainment District, Swordsmith Village and Hashira Training arcs in video game form.

As a reminder this second game is expected to offer a variety of demons and demon slayers as playable characters, including various Hashira’s. Naturally the main focus point of the game will be the compelling story mode, which will recapture iconic moments from the manga/anime series, but will also come with online and offline VS modes.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles 2 will be available for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Xbox One and Windows PC on 5th August 2025 with digital pre-orders available for most platforms (Nintendo Switch pre-orders are expected soon). In the meantime a new trailer has been released showcasing the Entertainment District arc of the story in game form.
