Seriously, girl. That’s all foam.
Impressions:
Well, it’s certainly not as obnoxious as many of the other things like it of its ilk, usually of the flavor of “That Girl From XYZ Is Super Cute!” Sad sack dude goes to baseball game. Quirky girl flirts with him. I think it’s that it’s not quite as cloying and trashy as the others, though maybe it’s just that I was already feeling a bit tired of it by the ten minute mark and it dropped her for a bit to blip over to the security guards for a change of pace. I can’t say it’s not trashy at all though, between the “hey, take a reeeeeeal close look at my boobs nametag” scene or the whole ponytail bit, but as far as fanservice goes, that’s relatively little. Which admittedly is either a good or bad thing depending on how horny you want your awkward teenage girls.
Still, I can’t say that this episode made me want to watch another one. I spent most of it thinking about how rare it is for anime girls to have earrings, then I wondered if it actually was, and how common earrings even are, then wondering why the hell I was thinking any of this at all. The show itself didn’t seize my attention. It’s pretty inoffensive, but the comedy is basically just light Hooters girl-esque flirting, which is also the character stuff. I’d point to things like Pseudo Harem or B-Gata as shows that committed more to the characters and the comedy and both aspects came out a lot better than this did.
