Healer Kicked From Party #01 — Soup

Excitement.

Impressions:

Hey, let’s look on the bright side. Half of the show didn’t involve the protagonist, nor the premise at all. It was just his harem of totally-not-slaves puttering around the kitchen, prattling about how much they like soup. Yes, that is vastly superior to the other half of the episode. It, for one, has just cute girls sitting around prattling about how much they like soup. End of list. Animation? No. Story? No. Chemistry between characters? No. Multiple flavors of demihuman girl each wearing less than the previous? Obviously. Discussion of soup, you betcha.

So let’s get to the protagonist, and stop me if you’ve heard any of this before. There’s a noble with a slave demihuman girl who he abuses while screaming for everybody to hear about how he’s rich and that gives him the right to abuse slaves. The protagonist then saves the noble, torturing him in revenge along the way, takes the slave as his, and immediately begins sexually assaulting her. But wait, not really. It was innocuous and the writing and direction where just pretending he was sexually assaulting her so they could still do all the gross sexual assault fanservice shots. In all this dialogue, the protagonist recites most of the title of the show, so the evil noble can respond “TITLE OF THE SHOW!?” I keep feeling like I should just start copy and pasting this entire post between these things.
