Impressions:
Meh. I continue to not be all that engaged. It’s not much of a mystery, or even conspiracy, when they’re only talking to… two people? If this was Law and Order, that’s how many suspects Brisco would’ve interrogated and dismissed in the first two minutes. And one of them is conjured out of thin air just to explain that he’s an obvious suspect who everybody to this point completely forgot existed. That is the literal explanation for it. He’s the original human model for all the androids, which is why they mistook him for an android. And went off the deep end because he helped develop them, another massive red flag, and has an intimate past with the head lady behind them, red flag number a billion, but saw reports of them supposedly doing crimes. But what does it all mean. You’ll have to stay tuned until next week to find out.
…So, yeah. There’s literally only two people involved in this grand conspiracy thus far, and one of them they had to spend the entire episode explaining how he was the obvious suspect all along after he leapt out of the shadows and declared himself to be the culprit. Hell, even the kidnapping was awfully done. How exactly did they track him down? They go out of the way to say that everything was already set up before she managed to send her SOS, but not how. Also, they kicked down the door seconds after the SOS. With like 50 cops. The writing on every level is just bad and there’s nothing else here but that.
