Idea Factory International have recently confirmed that Touhou Spell Carnival, a bullet-hell shooter mixed with turn-based-RPG gameplay, will launch on 7th May 2025 Windows PC (via Steam). The game previously released digitally (and physically) onto Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 & PlayStation 5 on 19th November 2024.
About: Gensokyo — A remote land isolated from the Outside World, where humans and youkai live side-by-side. One day, the shrine maiden of Hakurei Shrine, Reimu Hakurei, spots mysterious pillars towering over various locations throughout Gensokyo. These pillars signaled the start of the Spell Carnival, a festival hosted by Yukari Yakumo where one must put their Spell Cards on the line in battle. In order to investigate the true intentions of Yukari Yakumo, who initiated the Spell Carnival so suddenly, Reimu Hakurei joins the fight for Spell Cards.
In addition to the release date Idea Factory International have also confirmed that a Limited Edition will be offered exclusively through the Idea Factory Store in Europe and America. This Limited Edition will include a Digital Steam key and physical goodies, presented in a Collector’s Box. A Digital Deluxe Edition will also be available through Steam.
