Sony Pictures, through the official Sony Pictures social media accounts, have today announced that they will release SCARLET, the latest anime film from Studio Chizu and Mamoru Hosoda, in cinemas across the UK in the near future.
SCARLET is the latest anime film from director Mamoru Hosoda, who is known for his works such as BELLE, MIRAI and SUMMER WARS, and features a story that will see a brave princess transcend time and space. Studio Chizu is animating the film, with it being co-financed by Sony Pictures and Nippon TV.
Sony Pictures will distribute the film outside Japan, with Toho distributing theatrically in Japan this November, and it is expect to release in America on 12th December 2025 (as confirmed by US social accounts). A UK release date has yet to be confirmed, but is instead listed as coming soon on promotional materials.
