The official MCM Comic Con social media account has recently revealed that Macross Plus – Movie Edition will be screened at MCM London Comic Con as part of the After Hours Activities on Friday 23rd May 2025.
For those unaware MCM London Comic Con generally hosts after hours activities on the Friday of each event, such as an after party dance with a celebrity DJ, but this time they will be hosting a screening of Macross Plus – Movie Edition as well as Mini Painting and RPG Sessions. Access to the after hours activities are available to all ticket holders, but a wristband needs to be collected from the Info Point on the day of the event in order to be allowed entry to the after hours activities. These wristbands are limited, so it is best to collect them as soon as possible.
The screening of Macross Plus – Movie Edition is being brought to MCM London Comic in partnership with Anime Limited, who are attending the event with two panels and a booth throughout the weekend, and will be screened in Platinum Suite, Room 3, from 6pm.
About: The year is 2040 and the galaxy is flourishing with several colonies and advanced technology. AI is near perfection and the current top idol is the near-completed Virturoid Idol Sharon Apple. All that is missing are her actual feelings, which instead are supplied by Myung Fang Lone. Sharon’s debut concert is on planet Eden, where at the same time, fighter pilots Isamu Dyson and Guld Bowman battle over air superiority for the “Supernova Project.” Isamu, Guld and Myung were once childhood friends, but after an accident seven years ago, they went their own separate ways.
With Myung back in the picture, the old disputes are once again awakened. And when an unstable and illegal AI technique is installed in Sharon, the situation is worsened.
As a reminder Anime Limited have released Macross Plus on Blu-Ray in the UK as both an Ultimate Edition and Sharon Apple Edition. In the meantime Macross Plus – Movie Edition will be screened on Friday 23rd May 2025 in the Platinum Suite (Room 3) at 6pm at MCM London Comic Con.
