Red Art Games to publish SONIC WINGS REUNION to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 & PlayStation 5 in October

Red Art Games have today announced that they will release the arcade shoot-em-up (shump) SONIC WINGS REUNION onto the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 & PlayStation 5 on 7th October 2025 both digitally and physically.

SONIC WINGS REUINION is the latest entry into the legendary SONIC WINGS franchise, also known as Aero Wings in the west, and is developed by SUCCESS. SONIC WINGS REUNION looks to bring the classic fast-paced arcade action to modern platforms with more than 8 fighters, local co-op functionality and various difficulty modes.

SONIC WINGS REUINION is the result of the collaboration between SUCCESS, HAMSTER Corporation and members of past Sonic Wings games’ development teams. Produced by Shinya Nagatomo (Cotton Rock’n’Roll), and features character designs by Fumihiko Nantoka (Sonic Wings series) and sound design by Soshi Hosoi (Sonic Wings series).

About: In the year 20XX, cities all over the world are under attack. The mysterious organization “Fata Morgana” has returned, possessing superweapons and using unknown technology to seize control of the world’s military weapons.

The knights of the sky, the international secret rescue team “Project Blue“, rise up to fight this threat to the world. What awaits them as they take on these new and powerful enemies…?

SONIC WINGS REUNION is scheduled to be released digitally and physically on 7th October 2025 for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Further details about the physical edition(s) will be revealed at a later date.
