Just a quick update spill for the podcast and plans for rest of the year!
June is next week and prompted me to give a brief overview of where the podcast is at because if you are new to my blog you may not know I even run a podcast. If you are I’ve been running my own solo podcast “Anime One At A Time” for the past nearly two years where every month I talk about one anime series and talk till I drop about it. A solo podcast is not a venture for everyone you really do have to be comfortable with just yourself and the fact you love to talk a lot about what you love. Anime has always been that for me, I’ve ran this blog for the last ten years and but having the podcast has been another accompanying outlet to talk about anime. At this point I am incredibly grateful for those who have listened to any of my episodes because the goal has never been to be big, i’ll leave that to the podcasts with more people in it. I have a only ever had one goal to achieve and give different series I love or are watching my own point of view and express my thoughts.
The podcast fell off the bandwagon after September last year as a lot was going on but I got back on it in January with discussing a series that I thought had ended. . . low and behold it is not as I found out this month. I tackled discussing Sound Euphonium which was terrifying . . why? Because so many love this show and there’s a lot of dialogue to cover. I am ever so happy that as I had said in the episode the story is not over just yet.
The only month I missed this year was April but that was stupidly busy but for May episode I chose a seasonal favourite. The comeback of highschool romance anime has been so good to see and Honey Lemon Soda got to me on a personal level, why I chose for this month. Half the time in choosing what I will discuss is random or I see what era of anime I haven’t talked about for a while. Balance is important for me between discussing old and new series so for the rest of the year is what I will continue to focus on a lot. I still haven’t achieved two episodes in a month yet but I am aiming for thatto be June or July.
My ultimate goal is drop off blogging to a 1 blog post a month and do two episodes a month for the podcast but I’m not aiming for that till next year at this point due to my study I am currently doing. I am pretty happy where things are with the podcast so that’s all I have to say at this point in time.
I am always happy for people to suggest anime to me to check out that they would be keen to hear my thoughts and do a episode on. This has not happened yet would be really cool if it did. So feel free to reach out and I will be very excited!!!
