A playable demo for the upcoming Nintendo Switch game The Wizard of Bug, otherwise known as バグと魔法使い in Japan, has recently been made available to download on the Nintendo eShop worldwide, and you can find a playthrough of it on our YouTube Channel.
The Wizard of Bug is upcoming sprite-based puzzle game in which players control Shirley and Ella as they attempt to escape various chambers within the game. Over 100 puzzles are promised, of which take place across various different coloured rooms, and inside you’ll not only find obstacles but monsters that need to be defeated. The unique aspect of The Wizard of Bug is that Shirley and Ella can move hearts, which act as health bars when attacking enemies, above their heads and for some puzzles you’ll need to think outside of the box in order to progress forward.

The Wizard of Bug is scheduled to release on 31st July 2025 digitally worldwide, and a playable demo is currently available to download from the Nintendo eShop. The original Japanese version of The Wizard of Bug, which this Nintendo Switch version is based on, was previously released as a download exclusive for Windows PC.
