Subscribers to Netflix UK will soon be able to enjoy a variety of different anime titles, as Netflix have confirmed that Leviathan, Naruto (Season 8) & The Summer Hikaru Died will become available to stream on the platform in July. This is in addition to DAN DA DAN – Season 2, My Melody & Kuromi and the second half of Sakamoto Days.
As it stands the current release schedule for anime titles being added to Netflix in the UK looks something like this:
1st July 2025:
Naruto (Season 8): Guided by the spirit demon within him, orphaned Naruto tries to sharpen his ninja skills in this goofy anime adventure series.
3rd July 2025:
DAN DA DAN: In a bet to prove whether ghosts or aliens exist, two high schoolers face terrifying paranormal threats, gain superpowers — and maybe even fall in love.
5th July 2025:
The Summer Hikaru Died: When a mysterious being imitates Yoshiki’s best friend, Hikaru, otherworldly occurrences begin to take over his everyday life.
10th July 2025:
Leviathan: Based on Leviathan by Scott Westerfeld and Illustrated by Keith Thompson comes a new Netflix production. In 1914, on the eve of war, a fugitive prince and a girl in disguise meet aboard a bioengineered airship, the HMS Leviathan, and change the course of history.
14th July 2025:
Sakamoto Days: Once the greatest hitman of all, Taro Sakamoto retired in the name of love. But when his past catches up, he must fight to protect his beloved family.
July 20205:
My Melody & Kuromi: Beloved Sanrio characters come to life in stop-motion series ‘My Melody & Kuromi’ this July 2025, celebrating the 50th anniversary of My Melody and the 20th anniversary of Kuromi! The series is directed by Tomoki Misato, written by Shuko Nemoto, and produced by TORUKU from WIT STUDIO.
As a reminder a valid Netflix subscription, an internet connection, and a compatible device is required in order to stream these titles on Netflix in the UK. Additionally, Naruto is also being released on Blu-Ray in the UK via Anime Limited.
