Anime Limited, otherwise known as All The Anime, have today confirmed the cinema screening dates for The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, Summer Wars, and Wolf Children in the UK. Additionally, the distributor also reaffirmed plans that all three films will receive a Collector’s Edition 4K UHD Blu-Ray + Blu-Ray release as well as a digital platforms at a later date in the future.
The Mamoru Hosoda season on the big screen in the UK begins in July with The Girl Who Leapt Through Time and then continues into August with Summer Wars and Wolf Children. Each film will be screening at particpating locations for 2 days only, although some locations may choose to screen the film for longer. Exact dates are as follows:
6th July & 7th July 2025:
The Girl Who Leapt Through Time
3rd August & 5th August 2025:
Summer Wars
17th August & 19th August 2025:
Wolf Children
At the time of writing on a selection of cinemas, such as ODEON and Light Cinemas, are currently planned to be screening the films, but it is possible that more may be added closer to the films screening date. A current list is available here, but it is best to check with your preferred venue.
In addition to the cinema release dates Anime Limited also confirmed that each film will be released as a Collector’s Edition 4K UHD Blu-Ray + Blu-Ray set. This was previously mentioned at MCM London Comic Con, but the films are planned to be released after the films have been screened in cinemas and specific details will be revealed at a later date.
It is worth noting that all three films were previously released on Blu-Ray (and DVD) in the UK by Manga Entertainment many years ago.
