Food For the Soul Review — C+

A girl with social anxiety makes friends with the food club.

I loved the first episode. It did a great job showing the main girl’s struggles interacting with other people. It was emotionally charged and touching. And I recall thinking at the time, this is going to end up exactly like Hanasaku Iroha, Tari Tari, Sakura Quest, and all the other PA Works shows with similar premises. Great first episode, maybe a decent episode that builds on that towards the end, but mostly a whole lot of forgettable fluff about cute girls having fun. And that’s exactly what happened.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me— you can’t get fooled again. Unless you’re a dumbass like me.
