Anime Limited to release “Her Blue Sky” on 4K UHD Blu-Ray in the UK

The French division of Anime Limited (known as All The Anime FR) recently held a panel at Japan Expo in Paris, which is taking place at the Parc des Expositions de Villepinte between 3rd and 6th July 2025, with it providing updates on upcoming anime releases in France. The UK division of Anime Limited (also known as All The Anime) then took to social media to reveal that these same titles would also be coming to the UK.

Titles announced at the Japan Expo Panel, all of which are planned for a Autumn/Winter 2025 release:

Blood: The Last Vampire

Blood+

Cyberpunk Edgerunners

DAN DA DAN – Season 1

Devilman Crybaby

DIEBUSTER (GUNBUSTER 2)

The Place Promised in our Early Days

Her Blue Sky

In short, titles highlighted during the Japan Expo Panel have previously been announced for a UK release, however this time additional details (such as format and release window) were provided. More importantly Her Blue Sky, a 2019 feature-length film animated by CloverWorks, was also confirmed for a 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-Ray release in the UK – which is an entirely new title release from Anime Limited.

Her Blue Sky is animated by Cloverworks and directed by Tatsuyuki Nagai, and is a film that follows the aspiring bassist Aoi who attempts to unravel the truth behind her sister’s ex-boyfriend sudden reappearance. The film was also recently added to Netflix in the UK in both dubbed and subbed formats.

Synopsis: Aoi is startled to see her sister’s ex-boyfriend, who’s somehow still the same bright-eyed kid he was 13 years ago, before tragedy tore them apart.

Despite being released in Japan nearly five years ago this will be the first time that the film will become accessible on home video, and Anime Limited will be giving it the 4K UHD Blu-Ray treatment (in addition to a standard Blu-Ray). Specific details have not been mentioned, but we can expect to hear more in the near future.

In the meantime Her Blue Sky is now available to stream on Netflix in the UK in Japanese and English with English subtitles.
