At least nobody was in a bikini this time.
Break time #2 to get the dogs out for a long walk before the streets become frying pans. Still Fragrant Flowers, Hikaru Died, that tanuki rain thing, and 9-nine-‘s second episode to go, but I’ve glanced at two of those, and they predictably, it does not look good. Back in an hour or two to finish this marathon.
Impressions:
The exact same as all of these. He’s the super duper ultimate support mage, but the evil hero doesn’t understand the concept of buffing, only the harem does, and so he’s kicked out. Blah blah blah. This one is more heavy-handed than most since it spends the first ten minutes in a montage about how a hot babe is forcing him to master every single magic and be the best at everything, which is why he thinks he’s actually terrible and takes all the abuse as truth. But also, she keeps fondling him and announcing that he’s the ultimate chosen one, chosen to be the chosenest of truest heroic heroes of heroism.
Animation’s poor, there’s two to three of this exact first episode every single goddamned season. I don’t know a single thing here to recommend this over any of the dozen others exactly like it. To be fair, I don’t know what there is to recommend those either. Some of them have more fanservice? Extra stabbing? More catgirls? Anyway, it’s crap.
