Gundam!!!
Wow. I was at episode ten, thinking they would never manage to finish this well in two more episodes. But holy shit they pulled it off! What an ending!! Absolutely not what I was expecting but it sure did work.
I wish I remembered a bit more about the original Gundam— like who the fuck was Challia Bull? Don’t remember him at all. I think more obsessive Gundam fans than me would enjoy this even more than I did. It wasn’t a huge deal, but some knowledge of the original show would definitely help.
Perhaps my favorite part of the show is the ethical questions it casts both towards itself and the original. I especially liked the politics on Challia Bull’s ship, how everyone thinks he’s a traitor on the other side, when he’s actually on a side no one else was even aware existed. Really great character there.
Our two leads were fascinating as well. Heroines in the mold of Kamille from Zeta lol. How it should be.
Absolutely fascinating show. Glad this exists.
