Well hot damn!! It’s been a longggggg forever minute that I did one of these posts.
Everything just ends up falling off the bandwagon but as I was sitting here deciding what next post to write I remembered this series that I still wanted to keep going. Right in the cupse of Aussie winter and being a new environment since moving I’m surrounded by rolling green hills and countryside, so joyous when going for a walk ever. I’d like to do a post on the surrounding areas tied to anime somehow but I will wait to do that come Spring that will make for some great shots. My life may be busy as hell right now but I have still made time for reading and anime somehow haha. So let’s play catch up in this diary session of what I am currently immersed in and if readers still have an interest in my anime rambles.
Laid Back Camp S3
My love for this show at this point is pretty ridiculous, never would I have thought creature camping comfort and sunrise winter mornings upon Mount Fuji would become so addictive. While watching the cook ups melt my mouth on the inside, I’m more busy watching the camping girls steal my heart every time they are obsessed with the latest camping tool and new places they visit. Camping is not my thing in life but these girls have made me try out glamping which is as close I will get to the real deal and the experience was amazing during summer of this year. Years ago I had the most terrible experience with camping is why it became not my thing but since discovering this anime, it has helped not to dwell on that past experience (even though sometimes it’s hard not too). Camping I see because of this show is about getting away for peace and quiet also enjoy the nature that we may ignore on a daily basis. Watching Nadeshiko stuff her face till she drops is probably my favourite scenes in all the seasons she is just a vibe of a relatable version of yourself when you’re about to try new food for the first time. Nothing but camping comfort here !
Arifureta: From Commonplace to World’s Strongest
Month ago I started couple of isekai as I hadn’t watched one in so long. One is on pause for the moment but I have been continuing this chaotic, random plotted Isekai. I was not vibing with this at the start but watching Hajime work is way up through the impossible dungeon after falling from the highest level, his team mates watching it all unfold. A case of the weakest link within his class body whom were transported to this world as saviours and Hajime possessed nothing special. Until he starts eating demons for powers and collect himself a random harem of girls representing a different being animal or fantastical. Honestly I am watching this with no content creation in mind for flick on and enjoy. Not to say I am not doing that with all the anime I ever watch but some do have a purpose but a series like that it is kick back and see how the chaotic journey ends.
Dr Stone Season 4
I’ve been slowing playing catch up with seasons of anime I am behind on. Dr Stone has been a long running favourite for me the past four years, the humour and interesting science perspective is fascinating. The end is coming for this series but I am taking in every second, I like direction of season four and a clash of scientific brains. A mind that challenges Senkuu but in the best way, this series I love as a reminder to always allow yourself to be curious about the world and curiosity is such a important sense to have when discovering new things. A bit like when it comes to watching anime, expanding beyond your horizons and so forth.
Solo Levelling
A overhyped show I had not intention of watching but watching with my partner turned all of that around, he is new to anime and this was the perfect thrill ride for him. I don’t care what anyone’s beef is towards this show but it’s good people, it’s good. Following Jin-u weakest link struggle within the first two episodes just had me bawling, I’ve seen this trope over a million times, Izuko Midori feels I was having over this. God damn! It worked out this time. I love the concept Jin-u levelling himself up through a mysterious game that no-one else can see and all the senses and his perception on things increases in fluidity. I’ve loved his transformation but I know that goes into the area of arrogant arse approaching and becoming too powerful but honestly who cares. Plenty of action, strong storyline and weakest link trope that gets you within the first three episodes. I don’t know what is for the anime future right now from not hearing much but I hope it continues on because it would be a shame.
This is a series I could never want to hear anyone say anything bad about because you know why? It’s impossible!! Maybe the villain in season two was a bit underwhelming and had possessive issues but he was a crazy fuck my god. The parts I wanted to see from Miyo and Kiyoka were just soothing for my romantic heart, everything I wanted to take place did and can’t ask for more. Miyo’s development in her character is beyond heartwarming and becoming the person you know she is inside, looking outside servant girl walls. There may be traits on cinderella embedded here but it’s not the focal point of the anime, our main girl Miyo is not some hopeless mouse but someone who needed just support and a hand to reach out too. The relationship main couple have is strong and genuine, both new learners of love all consuming and honest feelings makes for something special between these kind giving people. Hands down one of my favourite romance anime in the high top numbers.
Red River and The King’s Beast are the two main manga I am aiming to complete by August because two is all I can handle at this point in time. Trying to cross off series from long ago from my manga list to read and complete before I reach 60 lol. I have been reading a lot of other things slowly but I might do a seperate post on manga since I miss talking about manga in general.
This concludes this diary entry for now, I’m hoping for next time I will have completed a fair few things and will mention some summer season 2025 titles I have only just started.
Till next post!
