Quasi-Impressions:
I’m only really posting this because I didn’t notice last week that Nube was off for a week. I probably would’ve given up on this unceremoniously otherwise. Perhaps appropriately, it’s mired in a loop, but you’d still hope to see growth from at least the main character, if not starting to pull back the layers on whatever is going on. Those things aren’t happening. It’s just doing the repetition part, with the only even faint bit of progress, that the one bishie knows something more about what’s up from last week, repeated again a few more times.
Speaking of repetition, as for the main character himself, he’s doing the same thing he was doing in episode 2, which was the same thing he was doing in episode 1. To wit, screaming at people that they do what he says because he’s yelling a lot. Nobody believes him but his destined girlfriend, who does so unconditionally and is always there to support him, and wouldn’t ya know it, but once again, when everybody else is rendered helpless or dead by a goofy gimmicky monster of the week, he finds it within him to grunt louder, believe in himself more because his girlfriend told him to believe in himself, and unlocks another new mecha form. The stone is dry. Stop squeezing.
