The Glassworker to screen in Cinemas across UK and Ireland on 19th September 2025

Dazzler Media, a UK based distributor of TV and Films, have recently confirmed that they will be bringing the animated feature-length-film, The Glassworker, to cinemas across the UK and Ireland on 19th September 2025.

The Glassworker is Pakistan’s first hand-drawn animated feature, from the Mano Animation Studios, and also sees the directorial debut of Usman Riaz, a director who worked under the mentorship of Studio Ghibli and Studio Ponoc producer, Geoffrey Wexler. While both the studio and director are new, The animation looks superb and certainly draws inspiration from Studio Ghibli to offer a new story for animation fans to enjoy.

Synopsis: In a picturesque seaside town rich in sand and tradition, Vincent, an apprentice glassblower, works alongside his pacifist father Tomas at their renowned workshop. Their serene world destabilises when war looms, and a strict army colonel and his violinist daughter Alliz arrive. As Vincent and Alliz forge a deep bond, conflicting family allegiances and patriotism test their love, forcing them to confront the brutality of war and the power of art.

The English dubbed version of the film will also feature the voice talents of British stars, including BAFTA nominee Art Malik (as Tomas Oliver), RTS winner Sacha Dhawan (as Vincent Oliver) and Anjli Mohindr (as Alliz Amano). The film has also been submitted for Best International Feature Film at the 2025 Oscars.

The Glassworker is set to screen in cinemas across the UK and Ireland on 19th September 2025.
