That’s the boss move?
Impressions:
This was such a lame way for things to go. Could’ve done any manner of things with proper S&M treatment and aftercare, that she’s been microdosing them with hypnosis or whatever for weeks, any kind of actual fighting, literally anything. Instead, we get her opening her eyes, and then a minute of exposition about how staring slightly is actually super duper ultra hypnosis, which is even more dangerous and more special and more awesome. No you can’t see it. We’ve already shown it. It was opening her eyes slightly. That’s the big climax moment for the dominatrix vs dominatrix schtick. Pathetic.
The first half of the episode was slightly better, but only slightly. The lack of a budget did the Mone vs Ciel fight zero favors, and pocket dimension schticks where whipping out an RPG happens just off-screen defeats the entire purpose of the gag. But at least the correct thought was there, unlike the above. Had it actually had a decent budget, that sequence could have been fun. Alas. Then again, we’re going from here to a beach episode, so I’m probably simply expecting too much from low budget trashy fanservice in general despite feeling like the bar is so, so low. At least it’s not reincarnation.
