MVM Entertainment have today revealed through a new early bird pre-order offer on Anime-On-Line that 2022 anime series Reincarnated as Sword will be released as a Standard Edition Blu-Ray in the UK on 8th December 2025.
MVM Entertainment had previously announced that they had acquired the UK license to the series earlier in the year, but thanks to this product listing we now know that the series will be released as a complete series collection on 8th December 2025. The product listing on Anime-On-Line also confirms that this UK Blu-Ray release will feature all 12 episodes in English and Japanese with English subtitles.
Synopsis: When you’re killed in one reality and wake up as a sentient sword in a world where magic is real, what else can you do with your steely new existence except become an adventurer? Even though his shiny new form can levitate itself around, our slicing implement without a name also craves a wielder: a mighty warrior with whom to partner, explore and slay monsters.
Instead, he gets Fran, a young cat girl, former slave, and trouble magnet who names him Teacher. It’s as odd a pairing as they come, and whether they’ll be sharp enough to make the cut in the realm of high adventure will be anyone’s guess!
Specific on-disc details have yet to be confirmed, but we suspect that MVM Entertainment will use the same disc materials authored by Sentai Filmworks in the US. If so, then we should expect to see all episodes across 2 Blu-Ray Discs with the bonus features being Textless songs and Episode Previews.
As a reminder Reincarnated as Sword is scheduled to release on Blu-Ray in the UK on 8th December 2025 as a complete series collection. Early bird pre-orders are being accepted on Anime-On-Line until 31st August 2025. Listings at other retailers are expected to appear in the coming weeks. The series is also available to stream on HIDIVE.
