Perfect Blue (4K Restoration) set for UK Cinema Release on 10th October 2025 with 4K UHD Blu-Ray due later this Year

Anime Limited, otherwise known as All The Anime, have today announced that Satoshi Kon’s influential thriller Perfect Blue will once again be treated to a cinema release in the UK and Ireland on 10th October 2025, except this time restored in 4K.

That’s not all, as the film will also receive a Deluxe Edition 4K UHD Blu-Ray release, with it expected to be available by the end of the year. Sadly we do not have any specifics on this 4K UHD Blu-Ray edition of the film, but obviously it will feature the film in 4K with both dubbed and subbed formats. Hailed as the first animated film to feature an authentic psychological suspense story, Perfect Blue blurs the line between fantasy and reality when Mima finds herself overwhelmed by various strange events.

Perfect Blue has a long history in the UK, with the film treat to numerous cinema releases and has been released on VHS, DVD, Blu-Ray in various editions. Anime Limited for instance have previously released the film as a Collector’s Edition and a Steel Book Edition. This new release meanwhile is the first time that the film will be available in 4K format, both on the big screen and on disc.

Perfect Blue (4K Restoration) will screen cinemas across the UK and Ireland from 10th October 2025 in both dubbed and subbed formats with cinema listings expected to appear in the coming weeks. A Deluxe Edition 4K UHD Blu-Ray of the film is also planned to release later this year, with further details to be confirmed in the near future.
