CAPCOM have today confirmed that Monster Hunter Stories, and Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, will be making its way to Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S on 14th November 2025.
Both games have previously been released on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC, but this will be the first time that the games will be available on Xbox platforms. An Xbox release of these games isn’t surprising as the third installment, known as Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, will be making its way to Xbox platforms (and Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Steam) on 13th March 2026.
As part of the Monster Hunter Stories experience players will fight together with their Monsties in thrilling battles, hatch Monstie eggs, and customise your companion to suit your style. These Xbox versions will retain aspects of the original, but improved with HD visuals, voice acting, and other features exclusive to this HD version of the game.
Monster Hunter Stories and Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin will launch on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S on 14th November 2025. Both games are also currently available for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Steam.
