The extra racism is the fun part.
Impressions:
I was getting all ready to comment on how it was actually toning down all the rapey overtures from the manga, letting the racism and furry fetishism take the forefront, but of course not. And everything about that sentence should be a red flag. Well, maybe not the furry part. As someone who writes an anime blog and has translated way too much foreign pornography, I’m hardly one to talk. The racism is especially kind of funny, because it wants to have its cake with the animal people being just a regular part of the world, but also has literally every character be aghast at their existence and expect them to be violent beasts preying upon their innocent teenage girls. It does not take a deep sociological dissection to find the problems.
It is exactly what it purported to be in any case, just with a touch more racism than expected, and the rape fetishism pushed back a little further than the manga did. There’s still no story or anything to speak of, and the characters are barely characters. She just wants to be assaulted by a dog. He’s an offensive cariacature. It honestly would’ve been better suited to be porn.
