How do you half-ass or mess up a montage?
Impressions:
Another one of this show’s utterly baffling episodes. It starts out acting like it’s going to be about summer vacation stuff, and instead gets sidetracked into a ten minute meet-cute with some random 12 year old. There’s no jokes here. Just him blushing about her boobs. Was this supposed to be emotional? The springtime of youth or whatever? I don’t get it. And I’m pretty sure she was aged up to make it ‘romantic’ rather than creepy, but it’s still her picking up a 12 year old.
That out of the way, it abruptly snaps back to the abandoned summer vacation stuff, and speedruns every single summer vacation thing. The ‘funniest’ part, used heavily ironically, is when the instrumental kicks in, the montage starts, a calendar pops up to show days passing, and then it only goes through two days and I think three stills. Think about that for a moment. They attempted to do a boring-ass basic stills montage and screwed it up.
