Another batch of episodes from the ONE PIECE HD Remaster are now available to stream on Netflix in the UK, bringing the total number of Episodes to 31; all of which are available to stream in both dubbed and subbed formats.
Last month Episodes 1 – 16 were added, and today Episodes 17 to 31 from the ONE PIECE HD Remaster are now available to stream, with it covering more of the East Blue Arc. These episodes will finish off the Kuro Pirates Arc and cover the entirety of the Baratie storyline.
As a reminder the ONE PIECE HD Remaster is a High Definition Remaster of the original series (namely the East Blue to Sky Island Arcs) and sees it presented in widescreen aspect ratio as opposed to the original 4:3 aspect ratio. Basically it has increased resolution, but cropped picture compared to the original DVD and streaming episodes. Additionally, the HD Remaster uses the original Japanese materials, so you’ll see Japanese text during the opening and ending songs as well as the original blue ONE PIECE logo rather than the localised version that FUNimation used at the time.
As it stands Episodes 1 – 31 of the ONE PIECE HD Remaster are currently available to stream on Netflix in the UK in both dubbed and subbed formats. ONE PIECE is also available to stream in dubbed format on the BBC iPlayer service in the UK, but these use upscaled versions of the series rather than newer remastered editions.
