Everybody in this show is the worst.
Impressions:
Thus it ends, terribly. As it has gone. The high octane action promised in the promos and first (actual) episode, not episode 0, never came back despite constantly teasing it, the characters never grew or developed, and everything about the overall story was a total disaster. A classic PA Works action original. Granted, there was some action this episode, but it was done about three minutes in, and there are magical super healing pods that only work on protagonists that immediately heal everybody right up. Amoru also gets to just timeskip and is totally fine, as if she didn’t throw a tantrum and jump straight to multiple homicides. The worst may have been shrugging off the effective murder of the one angry android. Doesn’t count cause the body’s the same. Just a completely different person inside. The antagonist just gets nuked by the filler android. But hey, they teased the entire killer android squad at the end. Great time for it.
Instead, what do we get? A goddamned bizarre diatribe from a literal ancient corpse ranting about how marriage is evil and needs to be destroyed to make way for polygamy free from the stigmas of incest and… uh… polygamy? Yes, seriously. The old guy is the real Akira, who abolished marriage to create “LC” so he could spy on his android children having sex with each other. Yes, seriously. If you were hoping for or expecting anything about Towasa, get bent. She sends a missive from beyond the grave that she loved him. That’s the big secret. PA Works, hire some actual damn writers already.
