FAIRY TAIL: DUNGEONS set for Nintendo Switch Release in January 2026

Kodansha, in partnership with developers Ginolabo, have recently confirmed that the deck-building rogue-lite turn-based RPG FAIRY TAIL: DUNGEONS will launch digitally onto the Nintendo Switch on the 7th January 2026. A Nintendo eShop page is also available where the game can be added to your wishlist.

FAIRY TAIL: DUNGEONS challenges players to explore a dungeon using only a limited number of moves by utilizing a strategically created set of deck skill cards. As part of the game players will be able to take control of a variety of different FAIRY TAIL characters, including Natsu, Lucy, Erza, Gray and Wendy, and use their magic skills in order to conquer the dungeon.

About: One day, Natsu and Happy discover a mysterious door has suddenly appeared below the guild.
Inside, they find a strange, expansive dungeon that saps all intruders of their powers. With no means to defend themselves, the two seem doomed until an Exceed called Labi comes to their aid. Once they hear about Labi’s missing friend, Natsu and Happy decide to head for the deepest depths themselves.

This Nintendo Switch release will also introduce five new playable characters, additional quests and labyrinths, and other improvements compared to the original Steam release. Additionally, Steam version will also be updated on the same day as the Nintendo Switch versions release so that both versions offer the same gameplay content.

FAIRY TAIL: DUNGEONS is currently available on Steam for £11.79 and the Nintendo Switch version will launch on the 7th January 2026 as a digital download on Nintendo eShop at the same price. The soundtrack for the game can also be purchased separately as DLC or as part of a digital bundle on steam.
