This year won’t be classed as just the average “another year rolls around”
Hello to familiar and new faces to the blog, hope you had a great Christmas and easy going time into the new year. I had a nice, quiet Christmas with my family and if you read my last post we baked mince pies and cherry pie (turned out pretty good). The week between New Christmas and New Year feels like Sunday watching your cartoons and people don’t know what to do with themselves, am I right? The new diaries of upcoming accomplishments come out and new ambitions come forth along with goals. All this is treated as the ultimate reset for all of us but honestly resets can happen at any time can’t they?
My reset started at the beginning of last year with this blog as it was my slowest year posting ever and that’s what I wanted. A lot was going on and I already knew that it was going to be and till we reached now, I can now build up on what I started.
Most thought that after ten years of blogging I would hang up the mouse and computer and honestly that option was tempting but it’s too damn long for me to let go of my blog. Sure to say in this moment is how I feel and could change but what’s the point of focusing on what if’s.
So What’s Apart Of My 2026?
Anime One At A Time Podcast
For those that know and don’t know for the last 2 years now I have been running my own solo podcast discussing different anime from all eras as sometimes I don’t feel like writing a blog post about it haha. I missed the mark on a couple of months of doing my monthly episode but 2026 will be different, I will be doing two episodes a month. I have gone back and forth over this as it could have ended up being too much haha but I haven’t achieved what I wanted with this podcast yet. We have chosen to push ourselves, my study I was doing took up my whole time that is why I put off this move. In February 2026 I will complete my studios and can give full focus towards my podcast goal. Well I can’t excuse I’m going to slip up somewhere but when is life is going to happen it’s going to happen.
The Blog
My spontaneous streak with posts is not changing, I enjoy just blogging what I feel like in the moment but in saying that I do have a notebook with loads of blog ideas I’ve kept the last year that I’ve been saving until now. You can expect the continuing random posts I put out but a staple you can always see is the anime diary which people seem to enjoy a lot.
Youtube
I did not think I would be adding youtube to the list. I haven’t made regular content there in a dead ass long time. At one point I did a “comeback” video that was a bad idea as I was not ready then and put too much on myself, life was so different then. But 2026 I’d like to do the odd video discussing whatever is only brain but without a schedule. I have an AMV lined up to be uploaded in the new year to be a booster start, that I’ve been working on in the background. The channel like the blog is an extension of me and it still has plenty of use for however long I deem.
I wanted to keep this short and brief because readers do get constantly bored of announcements and update posts or videos on a frequent basis. Haha they are really saying I think just get on with doing the content part, we do more announcing than actual content part I feel like how it is a bit these days. However you’re 2026 is looking for yourself, remember to check in with yourself and what you want or don’t want out of it. We are all on our own individual new year thing and no one can tell you what to do with that, if they did well tell them to fuck off.
