Has large boobs.
29 Year Old Adventurer Yada Yada. All this garbage has titles too long to… exist. There’s two more shows today, Nube and Death Games, but the latter is double length and, having glanced at it, basically unanimated, so I’m taking a break to recharge before subjecting myself to that. Nube feels like it’ll be a relief after all… this. The Tamon and Kicked From the Party show’s second episodes are more of the awful same.
Impressions:
The promos, and the manga for that matter, hide the creepy fanservice angle a bit, but the anime has decided on a different tack, revealing it right away and talking up how big her boobs are. At least we won’t have to suffer through any illusions that it’s just an innocent child rearing thing. With copious amount of child beating and child peeing herself. Which are still better jokes than the primary content of the episode, which is the same as all these damn things; tutorialized exposition about how much like an RPG world the setting is.
Oh, it starts out with his rags to riches story, but by 90 seconds into the episode, he’s the toast of the town which they explain, and the sole Good Adventurer, which they explain despite there not being any Bad Ones, and the local dungeon is more like an office building where you’re meant to clock in and out, so on and so forth. About the time they felt the need to explain the concept of orphanages was where my brain had totally atrophied. Admittedly, longer than usual. Perhaps the first minute jolted me into considering that maybe this would be slightly more serious than it looked. Or maybe it was the child violence and unneccesary peeing making me question existence in general. Plenty of overreaction yelling as ‘comedy’ certainly got rid of that even before the pointless exposition finished the job.
