Lilien Games, in partnership with WhisperGames, have recently confirmed that the murder mystery visual novel The Real Face of a Vtuber will launch digitally on Steam (for Windows PC) on 13th January 2026.
The Real Face of a Vtuber looks to take inspiration from the popularity of vtubers, which are of course live streamers and content creators with a virtual persona, and combined it with the courtroom drama seen within the Ace Attorney franchise to bring players a unique experience that will see you take on the role of a detective to solve a murder within a vtuber studio.
About: A grisly murder took place at the offices of Lilien Entertainment, home of famous VTuber “Kuripa,” resulting in the death of its founder. The killer can only be one of the company’s six employees.
What’s weird, though, is that multiple employees all claim to be Kuripa’s real face, saying they were streaming at the time of the murder—which is, of course, impossible. As prosecutor Justin Truth, it’s your job to get to the bottom of this mystery.
The Real Face of a Vtuber is set to release for Windows PC (via Steam) on the 13th January 2026. A Playable demo, which players can experience a sample of what the full game has to offer, is also available to download from steam.
