Even in a sea of dumb, this was dumb.
Impressions:
Even for wrongly accused villainess things, this was pathetic. In the middle of a crowd of people, she yelled to her friend that her hairpin was loose. Literally everybody saw it. People reacted to the commotion they caused. She was then accused of pickpocketing it, and everyone was just like “Yeah, sure, why not?” Except then, once confronted, everyone spilled that they not only knew it was a complete farce, but was just waiting for a chance to torture the other girl, so had absolutely no reason to go along with any of it in the first place. They just did so the protagonist could be the one to yell everybody down, I guess. You get both the repugnant revenge fantasy, and the writing making no sense whatsoever.
Another Tiresome Villainess Show™, basically. With a much dumber and more stretched out Accused At the Ball™ Scene. Not reincarnated this time, and saved by a second villainess ghost instead of a swarthy foreigner, and slightly more dumb petty revenge than usual, but since the punchy thing began with punching people, not even unusually so. I’ve had my fill of villainess things after giving one of the supposed best ones a try last season. I can happily give a pass to one with even worse writing and more emphasis on revenge fantasies.
